Kefalos bay is located at the south-west tip of the beautiful island Kos. Kos itself is  the third largest island in the eastern Agean sea. The offshore conditions cause perfectly flat water which is great for beginners and advanced windsurfers like speed cracks, slalom sailors and freestylers.

The main wind system in Greece is called Meltemi and gets accelerated due to the geologic formation of the bay and local thermics. This local wind system makes Kefalos Bay to the windiest spot on the island with a high probability of wind in the afternoon hours even if there is no wind forecasted.

We keep records since 1995 where we track winds >4 Beaufort for at least 3 hours per day. The graphs below will give you all the data.
