Please note that the probability of wind in Kefalos is at least 15% higher than that for the island! This is because of thermal effects and the geologic formation of the bay. Even if there is no wind predicted for Kos the chance of wind in Kefalos bay is pretty high. In this case the wind will pick up a later (around 3:30 - 4:00pm) and stays until the temperature drops down to around 25°C.

We keep records of the wind in Kefalos Bay since 1995 and we reassure you that we didn’t manipulate these data! The following diagram shows winds >4 Bft. for at least 3 hours a day.
